Reflective Movement

Reflective Movement is a free form embodied experience. In this space, we create an opportunity to explore what is currently alive in us – our physical sensations, emotional climate, and mental processes. Our intention is to be curious to what we are experiencing in our bodies, and respond intuitively to what we need, whether that means to sit, stretch, or shake to the music. Doors will open at 8am for a soft start. Quietly enter the space and create your own meditation until 8:15. Music will fuel our embodied exploration until the bell rings at 9. After the bell rings, we will leave as we began, in quiet presence. If you feel the desire to linger after the bell, there will be an opportunity for verbal reflection, to listen or speak about what we noticed and experienced. If you’re curious as to what this could look like or feel like for you, we invite you to come discover!

Shakti Yoga is a feminine movement practice grounded in the pleasures of Tantra, offering much needed medicine for women today. Ultimately, Shakti Yoga is about coming into deep relationship with the self, including shadows, sensuality, archetypes of the Feminine, and the cycles of the moon and Mother Earth. We use our inner knowing of Shakti as the feminine life force in the world to dive into the depths of our intuition and the energies of the womb to heal, bond, flow, and witness our own sovereignty. Shakti Yoga is truly a devotional practice, intended to offer a circle of sacred safety, witnessing, and radiance while unleashing the Shakti within as we welcome Her home. During this practice, we will lovingly tend to the self in nurturing ways (including movement, inner journeys, breathwork, self touch, and much more) allowing a reverent  re-membering to occur. This practice is most likely unlike any other yoga you have experienced, so dress comfortably and prepare to enter the sacred temple of Shakti. *Note that the use of She and Her are in relationship to the feminine energy and not necessarily to the gender. Shakti Yoga can be of benefit whether you identify as a woman, with feminine energy, or possess female reproductive body parts. If you do not have a womb or other female body parts that we reference, no worries! We use the energies within the body, the blueprint that is still there, even if the parts are not present, the effect is felt.
